Gaza's pipes still exist, but most of what moved water through them doesn't. Pumping stations and desalination plants need power, and power is mostly gone. So clean drinking water is brought in and handed out where families are.

Send 10 or 20 litres as many times as you like. A family, masjid or office can fill a larger amount together.

We distribute at the end of each month. Within 4 to 6 weeks of giving, you'll receive a photo or video of the distribution your gift was part of, by email or on our Instagram.

My experience funding a water tanker for Gaza

The experience to buy a 20L water tanker for the needy in Gaza was very straightforward and smooth. There were practically no hiccups in the process, and I was done in less than 5 minutes. The lack of interruptions enhanced the feeling of accomplishment that "Hey, I did something good for the sake of Allah." Had it not been like that, one would've been frustrated over the negative parts rather than focusing on the positive. What happens after I order?

You get an order confirmation by email straight away. We pool the gifts for each cause, and the team on the ground hands them out in the month-end distribution.

When will my gift be delivered?

We distribute at the end of each month, so your gift goes out in the next month-end run after you order. Allow 4 to 6 weeks. Where border restrictions or security clearances delay a distribution, your gift goes out the following month.

Will I see proof?

Yes. Within 4 to 6 weeks you'll receive a photo or video of the distribution your gift was part of, by email or on our Instagram. It shows the distribution itself, not individual names.

Is this charity or a purchase?

A purchase. You pay for a real item and we deliver it to someone in need on your behalf. Qohyrah is a social enterprise, not a registered charity, so purchases are not tax deductible.

Can I pay zakat through this?

Qohyrah hasn't published a zakat position yet. Until it does, treat this as sadaqah, and ask your own scholar or local imam about zakat.

What is the refund policy?

You can get a full refund within 12 hours of ordering, for any reason. After that your order has gone to the team on the ground and can't be refunded. Message us through the contact page or on Instagram.
